Occupational Therapy

In conjunction with Alison Taylor, we our now able to offer Occupational Therapy services. Alison, operates from Hyde Park Pharmacy on the first Saturday morning of every month. In order to take advantage of this service  you will need to book an appointment. Listed below is a brief overview of Occupational therapy and a few of the occupational aids available from within the pharmacy.

An occupational therapist (OT) helps people of all ages who have physical, mental health or social problems to adapt to any aspect of their life with more independence, confidence and control. Problems may result from birth, an accident, an operation, illness, negative behaviour patterns or ageing.

This is a towelling gadget to help put your socks on. It may require practise! It is very useful for anyone having difficulty reaching their feet

This can be used to keep the bed clothes off a person’s feet.

This can be used to raise the head of the bed to enable reading, eating etc.

This lightweight cooking basket can be used for anyone who has difficulty lifting heavy objects. Vegetables can be transferred easily.
